Recording MP3 files
Because of software patents, we cannot distribute MP3 encoding software ourselves. Trunking recorder requires that the "libmp3lame.dll" file be installed in the same folder as Trunking Recorder. Follow these instructions to use the free LAME MP3 encoder.
1. Download "libmp3lame.dll" v3.99.5 from external site rarewares.org (Direct Download Link)
Note: Download the 32-bit version even if you have a 64-bit version of Windows installed.
2. Copy "libmp3lame.dll" to the same folder as you installed Trunking Recorder. Normally, this is "C:\Program Files (x86)\Trunking Recorder" or "C:\Program Files\Trunking Recorder".
3. Configure Trunking Recorder to use the "MP3" Audio format.
4. Start recording and verify that there are no errors.
